ENJOY A TRULY UNIQUE CENTRAL PARK EXPERIENCE!
Enjoy a truly EXCLUSIVE Central Park horse-drawn carriage ride!!
Take a ride in a custom built carriage, the ONLY one of its kind in all of New York City
Experience Central Park just as it was originally designed to be seen in 1857 by Frederick Law Olmsted. This exclusive 3 seater carriage (which is perfect for couples, friends, and small families) is called a Panel Boot Victoria, and is the type of carriage one would see almost every day in the Victorian era, though not commonly seen today. Central Park was designed to be seen from a horse drawn carriage; experience it in a historically accurate style of carriage!
I always like to say, riding with Time and Again Horse & Carriage is the closest feeling to time traveling that one can experience in the heart of NYC!
Some people might also like to know that this is also the only Central Park carriage and for-hire operation that is independently woman-owned and run!
Time and Again Horse & Carriage is a TINY business in NYC owned and run by only ME, Alanna, with occasional help from my partner Kieran.
If you book with Time and Again, you will always be dealing directly with me.
BEWARE of illegal street vendors trying to sell carriage rides, and always deal directly with carriage drivers, whether you decide to book with me or not!!

WEDDING SERVICES, PARTIES, AND SPECIAL EVENTS
As a horse owner and a person who is absolutely, unabashedly obsessed with horses, I could not imagine my life without them. Many people might say, "horses are so expensive," or "horses are a rich person's pet," but, especially thanks to the commercial carriage industry, that is not necessarily true. A horse is an animal that is bred for work as well as human companionship. It is our obligation as humans, who have domesticated horses for 6,000 years, to be the best stewards of them as possible. In addition to the stringent regulations New York City carriage horses are protected by, I always go the extra mile for my horses. If a hair is out of place I will know about it and do something about it, and I worry over them like they were my children. We are very fortunate to have 24 hour stable care, thick, comfy bedding, a roomy stall with an automatic waterer, and access to unlimited hay for our horses.
A horse that works is a healthy horse and exercise releases endorphins, the same as a runner's high. Horses can easily pull 6 times their own weight, thanks to inertia and the invention of the wheel, and carriages are easily moved by humans every day, and proportional to the weight of the horse. Pulling a carriage is healthy, light exercise for a horse that gives him a sense of purpose and a chance to be adored by the public. Every part of the harness has been engineered over thousands of years to make the horse's job comfortable and easy when properly fitted. I have had years and years of experience with horses in ALL different situations, and if I believed that giving carriage rides in Central Park, or anywhere else was in any way harmful to my horses, I would not bring my personal pets into it.
